İnternational seminar “Forecasting the World's Future”

On August 3, 2018, the international seminar “Forecasting the World's Future” was held, organized by the Brazilian Node of the Millennium Project and W Futurismo.

The seminar was attended by experts from Brazil, the USA, Mexico, Colombia, South Africa, Finland, Belgium, as well as experts from the European University Association.

Azerbaijan was represented at the event by the President of the  Azerbaijan Futures Studies Society, Mrs. Reyhan Huseynova.
At the seminar, a report was heard from a representative of Azerbaijan on the topic “Experience in online teaching of predicting the future.” In her speech, Mrs.Reyhan Huseynova noted that since 2009, a joint project of the  Azerbaijan Futures Studies Society  - Node of the Millenium Project Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) has been implemented in Azerbaijan to teach the theory of future forecasting. In recent years, UNEC SABAH Center  has joined the project.

The representative of Azerbaijan also noted in her speech the work being done in our country in the field of building the future. The adoption of the Development Concept “Azerbaijan 2020: a look into the future” and “Strategic road maps for the national economy and main sectors of the economy” is an example of government policy that is aimed at building the future of Azerbaijan on the basis of sustainable development.
