Round-table sessions dedicated to the topic, “Global challenges and regional strategy - prospects of development of energy and nanotechnology.

Mrs. Nadejhda Gaponenko, the head of the Scientific and Innovative Activity and Foresight Department of the Institute for Science Development Issues, under the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was invited by the Strategic Research Center, under the Office of the President of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan Future Studies Society, the Azerbaijani Node of the Millennium Project, to conduct discussions and round-table sessions dedicated to the topic, “Global challenges and regional strategy - prospects of development of energy and nano technology.” On May 4-7, 2010, meetings were arranged between Mrs. Nadejda Gaponenko and Mr. Ali Abbasov, the communications and IT minister, Mr. Mahmud Kerimov, the president of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Mr. Shamsaddin Hajiyev, the rector of the Azerbaijani State Economic University, and Mr. Elnur Aslanov, the head of the Political Analysis and Informational Support Unit of the Executive Office of the President of Azerbaijan.
