Educational and informative events

20/12/2016 The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Republic Azerbaijan in cooperation with  Azerbaijan Futures Studies Society organized educational and informative events with the participation high school students, parents and teachers  in schools

The events were dedicated to the campaign “ Let us say NO to the violence against women!”. Bela Jalilova, the chairwoman of the board of experts of Azerbaijan Futures Studies Society, Aytekin Hajiyeva, the first advisor of the gender issues department of The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Republic Azerbaijan, and Sabina Mirzayeva, phd of theology, the lecturer of the Baku State University’s faculty of theology, gave speeches during the event.

Experts mentioned that the violence towards women damages families, kids, elderly people and the society as a whole. Violent attitude towards women impedes productive use of country’s opportunities, the social and economic development and the levels of education.

The information about the eradication of early marriages, violence towards women,ways of fighting domestic violence, local and international laws concerning these factors, the projects organised by the committee was delivered to participants during the event.
