Asaf Hajiyev

Prof. Dr. Asaf Hajiyev is professor at Baku State University, and Correspondent Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Cybernetics. He holds a Dr. Sci. from Moscow State Technical University, and has done Ph.D. and post-doctoral research at Moscow State University. His vast research and teaching activity includes: Chair of the department of Probability and Statistics, and of the Department of Controlled Queues, Institute of Cybernetics at the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences; Chair of the Department of Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics, Baku State University; Senior Scientific Researcher, Department of Probability Statistics, Royal Institute Technology in Stockholm; as well as researcher at several universities around the world, including China, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey, and USA. He is on the editorial board of a many prestigious national and international academic journals and has been organizing member or speaker at numerous international conferences. His many awards include: Azerbaijan Lenin Komsomol Prize Winner on Science and Engineering; Grand Prize of the V İntern. Conf. “Management Science and Engineering Management”. Macao; and Grand Prize of the İntern. Conference “Management Science and Engineering Management”. Islamabad. He is also Vice-President of Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, and on the board of many international academic organizations.
