Pavel Novacek

Pavel Nováček is the founder of the "International Development Studies" program at Palacky University, in Olomouc, Czech Republic. He is the President of the Czech Association of the Club of Rome, and the Chair of the Central-Europe Node of The Millennium Project. His work focuses on global environmental problems, sustainable development, and the study of possible futures. He created a new index for measuring sustainable development and help focus policy for action. Over the course of studying global environmental problems, Pavel Nováček has visited over 70 countries across five continents and written a number of scholarly as well as popular books which can be downloaded from his webpage: www.pavelnovacek.eu.
