Riel Miller
Riel Miller is Head of Foresight at UNESCO, Paris. He is a global specialist in long-run strategic thinking and the design of advanced foresight processes. For 30 years he has assisted senior decision makers to assess and direct the potential for socio-economic transformation in both the private and public sectors. He established the futures consulting, was an economist and futurist at OECD, worked in different areas of the Ontario Government, and did extensive futures consulting. Riel has published extensively on a range of issues, from futures methodology and the design of scenario processes for strategic decision making to the future of money, research, education, the internet, the knowledge society, the public sector, etc. He has taught at several institutions around the world, and is a dynamic speaker on a wide range of topics. He has served on the Board of a variety of professional organizations.
