Hector Casanueva
Héctor Casanueva is Executive Director, Center for Latin American Relations with Europe (CELARE), and Chair of the Chilean Node of The Millennium Project. He is Professor of graduate studies and lecturer on international issues at several universities in Chile and Latin America, specialized in Integration, International Economic Relations, and Development Cooperation, and is a member of academic councils of university programs in Chile, Panama and Argentina. Mr. Casanueva is a Former Ambassador of Chile to the ALADI and MERCOSUR (Montevideo, Uruguay), and Former Director of Export Promotion, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile. He is the author of several books and articles in the domain of his expertise, and writes regularly for newspapers and magazines in Chile, Spain, and across Latin America. He has a Masters Degree in European Communities from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and a Masters Degree in Sociology from the University of Lomas de Zamora.
