Azerbaijan’s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies has met with the board of judges of “Face to face with future generations” composition competition
01 February 2009 - Azerbaijan’s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies has met with the board of judges of “Face to face with future generations” composition competition to be held by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, Ministry of Education and State Committee on Family, Women and Child Problems initiated by Azerbaijan Futurologist Society.
Let’s note that Republican Composition Competition is held every year among pupils of 9- 11 forms of Azerbaijan high schools.
Having highly appreciating carrying out of composition competition in the country praised teachers’ contribution to development of young talents in this direction and expressed his gratitude.
In addition, the minister emphasized that he is pleased especially with the theme of “Information technologies” which is more popular among schoolboys at writing of compositions within the limits of competition.
Toshiba notebooks have been presented to each of 6 members of the board of judges at the end of the meeting.
Let’s remind that 3 members of the board of judges are teachers from Academy of State Management under the President of Azerbaijan, the other 3 are teachers from Azerbaijan State University, Western University and teachers from school ¹ 20.
The competition-winners in “Face to face with future generations” Republican Composition Competition will be nominated for participation in the International Global Millennium Prize Composition Competition.
Senior pupil of Azerbaijan high school Hasanov Bahram was declared winner on “Democratization” in Mexico in 2008.
Our compatriots gained 2 and 3 places on that nomination as well.
Azerbaijani pupils were declared winners on 5 nominations out of 15 in 2007.
