Ozcan Saritas

Ozcan Saritas is a Research Associate at Policy Research in Engineering, Science and Technology (PREST) at the Institute of Innovation Research, Manchester Business School, where he is engaged in various research and teaching activities. He is combining his knowledge and skills in Science and Technology and in Art and History to look into the long term future. Ozcan's research activity has been focused mostly on long-term policy and strategy making, with particular emphasis upon Foresight methodologies and their implementation in S&T and social fields at national, regional and organizational levels. He has run Foresight exercises in two university departments, using innovative processes and methodologies that he developed. Ozcan has been involved in numerous Foresight projects, including several for the European Commission. Currently, he is Project Manager of "Support to Foresight practice: assess, validate and complement the structuring of a web-based Foresight manual", and works on the European Monitoring Centre of Change on future prospects in nine industrial sectors.
