Elmira Ramazanova

Professor Elmira Ramazanova is Director of the Scientific Research Institute “Geotechnological Problems of Oil, Gas and Chemistry”, Corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Vice-president of the National Oil Committee, and member of the International Eastern Oil Academy. Her vast scientific activities include: investigation and application of new nanocomposites for oil recovery enhancement; new direction in theory and practice of oil and gas condensate systems’, thermo and gas hydrodynamics; and many other practical and methodological developments for increasing oil and gas efficient and ecological production. She is the author of more than 350 scientific research works, including 25 monographs, educational and methodical text – books and handbooks, and is on the editorial board of several national and international scientific expert journals. Prof. Ramazanova has represented Azerbaijan with honor in a number of world scale events, and has contributed to international scientific collaboration through training courses for experts from about 20 developing countries. For her great merits in science she was awarded “The Badge of Honor”, “Honored Worker of the USSR’s Oil Industry”, “Honorable Oil Worker of the USSR”, “Honored Science Worker”, “Honored Oil-Industry Worker of Vietnam”, and she is the first-ever scientist from Azerbaijan awarded the European Cooperation Organization award on Science and Technology, nominated by President Abdullah Gül in December 2010, at "Ciragan" Palace in Istanbul.
